Not All Photos Are Displayed When I Connect My Phone to My PC
Never had any problems with it until recently. A month or so ago, when doing it, I got 10-20 photos displayed in the directory while my phone had several hundreds of them. I tried many things like restarting my phone, restarting my PC, I even deleted some photos to see if it would help. Maybe there was too many of them... to no avail. some photos simply did not show up in the 100ANDRO folder.
I googled the problem a bit, found many people having the issue, no matter the phone (even some with the iphone had it) and the only solution I found was to change the transfer protocol which did not help me at all. I played with the phone settings and... I wasn't able to transfer anything anymore.
At the end, the only solution I found was to use dropbox. It lets you transfer pictures from your phone to your dropbox space which is available from your PC.
Maybe not the perfect solution as it takes some time to upload the photos I take from my phone but retrieving them from the PC is immediate and available through normal web browsers.
I still use the traditional cable solution most of the time but when some images are missing, I use Dropbox.
Just thought I would write this post to help those in my case. You will notice that I don't even include a link to Dropbox. My aim is not to advertise a particular app/software. But this saved my day (well my photos at least) so they deserve to be mentioned.
Good luck with your photo transfers!

"There are no calendars selected" error message
My problem was coming from the app "Business Calendar" and this is what I needed to do to fix it:
1) Launch the app (if you have the calendar on your desktop, just click on it)
2) A calendar should appear. Click on the option button (your android phone button)
3) You should have the following options: Agenda, Search, Today, Go to, Show Bars and More. Choose More
4) Select the first entry called "Calendars"
5) Check the check box corresponding to the calendar you want to use
6) Save
7) Enjoy
Notice: the problem may come from something else on your phone, so I cannot guarantee that this will fix your problem. At least it did for me.

How to write the backslash antislash symbol '\' with android default keyboard
Back slash on android
It is actually easy to do once know it. Go to the symbol keyboard by using the "12!?" button and then go to page 2 of the symbol keyboard by using the 1|2 button (this is what people generally miss).Sunday, June 19, 2011
Android problem when changing timezone
This is a quite awkward bug from Android. Actually, I could not believe there was such an obvious issue to change time zone...
When you change the timezone of your phone, the time displayed when you start your mobile and the time on the upper right corner of your home should display the new time correctly (I even had problems with that but a restart of the phone fixed it and it may have been fixed in 2.3 as I did not manage to reproduce the issue).
HOWEVER the main clock on your home page will still show the previous time no matter what ! You can try whatever settings you want, it will not change !
The solution ? Very ugly for people travelling a lot but well, not my fault... you need to remove the clock widget and add it again. Click on the clock for a long time (2-3 seconds) and move it to the bin (should be on the lower part of the screen). Then go to "Personalize" (there sould be a link per default), then "Widget", then "Clock". Choose the Clock you want (the default one takes a lot of space on the screen in my opinion) and the "new" Clock should display the time in your timezone... Problem "solved".
